Professor M.Aleksandrov Mykolayiv Maritime Lyceum

Professor M.Aleksandrov Mykolayiv Maritime Lyceum was founded in 1996 by the decision of the Mykolayiv Executive Committee after the reorganization of the Naval Cadet School with the aim to select and train the pupils from the comprehensive secondary schools for studying at the University.

The Lyceum admits the pupils on a competitive basis according to their test results as the pupils of the 8th, 9th and 10th forms.

The studying conditions at the Lyceum accord with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. With the aim to improve the knowledge of the pupils the Lyceum pays much more attention to the mathematics, physics and informatics studying than other comprehensive secondary schools. Except the core subjects the pupils study such subjects as economics basics, draughtsmanship, the University history, shipbuilding basics, special courses and optional classes. Both teachers and leading lecturers of the University teach at the Lyceum.

There are also training courses for pupils of the 7th and 9th forms that are to continue studying at the Lyceum.
