The Kyiv Educational and Consulting Centre (KECC) of the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding was established by the order № 404 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 12.21.2000.
There is an extramural form of training on a contract basis at the expense of juridical entities and physical persons at the KECC. The students groups are formed according to the place of work and residence of students. The tuition on the specified specialties involves 24 faculties. Lecturers and tutors oftheAdmiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding (NUS), the Kyiv State Maritime Academy, the National Aviation University, the Agricultural Academy, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine conduct the educational process. The expenses on the salaries are carried out from the students’ tuition at the KECC.
120 students are trained at KECC on the following specialties:
-Shipbuilding and Ocean Technologies;
- Ship Power Plants and Equipment;
- Engineering Technology.
The education in the KECC is held in the auditoriums of the Sea and River Craft College of the Kyiv State Maritime Academy (KSMA). The accommodation is categorized and corresponds to the sanitary demands. The provision of the educational area, laboratory and practical studies with the necessary equipment of the mentioned specialties corresponds to the standards.
There is a methodical room and a library in the KECC , where the fund of textbooks, tutorials and methodical literature is situated there. There are discipline programs of the mentioned specialties, seminar and training plans, laboratory tasks and tasks for the students self-work, test and project/ (course works) subjects, tests sets for a complex assessment of the students’ knowledge in the certain discipline of the specialty. The programs of a pregraduation practice are developed, the themes are dedicated and there are workbooks for the diplomas preparation.
All the students are provided with textbooks and tutorials, students and tutors have a possibility to use Internet and electronic library references of the NUOS as the informative sources.
The students, who are assigned to the KECC, study on the contract basis at the expense of physical and juridical person’s assets. According to the contract terms payment for the education is fulfilled at the beginning of every semester. The costs for the educational process holding (tutors’ salary for the time it took them to hold the tuition in ECC, costs connected with assignments) are realized at the expense of money, which is received as payment for the education from the students of the KECC.
