Educational and Methodological Work

Educational and methodological work is a component of the educational process which the administration, faculty, engineering, assistant educational, administrative personnel, students of a higher educational institution take part in.
The objectives of educational and methodological work are defined with the current legislation of Ukraine, regulating the training of experts of appropriate qualification and field, with the standard acts of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, programmes of educational activity. They are developed in accordance with the regulations on a certain educational institution type, fixed in the Regulations of a higher educational institution, in accordance with license conditions, decisions of the administration and Academic Board of higher educational institution. The objectives are strictly formulated in the experts’ qualification-level characteristics, educational and vocational programmes, curriculums. Methodological work is held in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine “On Education”, “On Higher Education”, “On Language”.
Engineering education multilevel structure provides for the educational organization based on the principles endowing deep fundamentalization and humanities-oriented education, a high level of scientific and practical training, independent development of personality, and priority of interests concerning self-actualization.
To solve this task you need to constantly develop educational process, design, apply new effective technologies, analyze in detail and generalize achievements of Ukraine and the whole world. That is why a role of methodological work is getting more prominent. It concerns universities and, particularly, institutes, faculties, departments.
Methodological work is a kind of cognitive activity of teachers and other personnel of any higher educational institution, planned and aiming at development of existing forms and methods of effective educational process organization and creation of new ones. The main objective of this work organization is investigation of educational process intensification ways, applying scientific recommendations, leading methods of educational organization.

The NUS educational and methodological work is managed by:
- the University Methodological Board;
- educational and methodological department;
- faculties (faculty methodological commission);
- departments (departmental methodological commission).
